A coordinated route that combines renewable feedstocks with conventional refinery streams, supported by Mercurol’s commercial, sustainability and export activities.

How production works
Contracted processing. Mercurol coordination.
Processing is carried out at a partner refinery in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Our production is carried out through a tolling agreement with premium refinery in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Under this model, feedstocks are processed on Mercurol’s behalf at the partner refinery, while Mercurol coordinates feedstock sourcing, sustainability management, product sales and export activities.
Co-processing introduces selected renewable feedstocks into refinery processing alongside conventional hydrocarbons. The resulting products contain both renewable and fossil-derived components. The renewable share depends on the feedstock mix, conversion process and supporting production data.
We are implementing a proportional mass balance approach to track eligible quantities through processing and allocate sustainability characteristics to product deliveries, supported by documented conversion factors, losses and traceability records.
Four-stage route
Feedstock to export, coordinated end to end
Each stage creates the commercial, processing or documentary evidence needed for a defined supply opportunity.
01
Feedstock Sourcing
Selected renewable feedstocks are sourced and coordinated for the programme.
02
Refinery Co-processing
Renewable feedstocks enter refinery processing alongside conventional hydrocarbons.
03
Product Quality and Traceability
Quality information, conversion data and sustainability records are managed through the route.
04
Export Supply
Mercurol coordinates product sales and export supply with qualified buyers.
The partner refinery performs processing under the tolling agreement. Mercurol coordinates the wider commercial programme, including sourcing, sustainability management, product sales and export.

Processing responsibilities
A defined operating boundary
The tolling model keeps Mercurol’s programme responsibilities distinct from the refinery’s physical processing activities.

Proportional mass balance
Eligible quantities are followed through processing using linked input, conversion and output records.
The approach is being implemented to track eligible quantities through processing and allocate sustainability characteristics to product deliveries. Documented conversion factors, losses and traceability records support the calculation route.
